British Middle Distance Championships (2017-10-01)

Took bearing from 2 to 4 and missed no.3. Hit bramble patch en route to no.4 and thought I was in marked patch to right of control so turned left. I was actually in correct place but brambles were unmapped. Direction to no.5 was wrong but was on a bearing. Very confused. OK until no.13, did not understand contours on map nor undergrowth on ground (and not on map), drifted too low on elephant track. In general, did not feel comfortable on map.
